Me: Welcome to my very first blog post!
You: It’s 2013…why did it take a self-described gadget girl, who loves to write, this long to do a blog?
Me: One word…procrastination. Well, and too many decisions. Oh, and I’m a commitment-phobe. Let’s not forget perfectionist. And I’m
You: OK, we get the idea. Ya know, a lot of people have blogs…it can’t be that big of a deal.
Me: There are a lot of decisions to make when you set up a blog. What platform? Layout? Niche blogs or one blog for everything? Hire someone or design it myself? What do I call it? And this is all before I can even write anything. Since I am a perfectionist I want it all done and pretty and functional and…perfect.
You: Ok, so what did you decide?
Me: (Dejected) Uh, I didn’t. I just slapped something up and started writing.
You: Well that’s great. It’s supposed to be about content. Just get going. You can make changes and pretty it up as you go, right?
Me: (Excited) Yeah, yeah, yeah! That’s right! It will be a journey that we go on together.
You: That’s the spirit! So how often can we expect a new post?
Me: (Dejected) Ah geez! You mean I have to have a schedule?
You: Well, yeah, you owe that to your reader(s).
Me: I don’t know…that’s a BIG commitment. Maybe I should rethink this whole blogging thing. I’ve got reality shows to watch…
Just coming back to read you posts from the start, and this is hilarious - we really are so alike it´s frightening lol
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for coming back and reading everything and commenting! I don't know that I have the stamina to comment on every single one of your posts. Since 2011? Yikes! But I am reading them. All. And, so funny, I started at the beginning, too.
